My Spiritual Journey phto

My spiritual journey began in the peaceful environment of Uttarakhand, where nature and spirituality became a natural part of my life. Rooted in the Gurukul tradition, this journey has been a path of self-awareness, discipline, and inner transformation. My spiritual journey began in a peaceful environment where I learned the values of Gurukul life, family, and inner transformation.

I was born in the peaceful environment of Uttarakhand, where nature and spirituality naturally became a part of my life.My journey of learning began in the Gurukul tradition, rooted in a lineage that goes back to pre-independence India.
The Gurukul where I received my education was originally established in Lahore before India’s independence by Dada Guru Padavakya Pramanajna Pandit Brahmadatta Jigyasu, who nurtured many renowned scholars of his time.

After independence, this tradition continued in Varanasi and later in Bahalgarh (Sonipat, Haryana) as Panini Mahavidyalaya. In 1989, I had the privilege of studying there under the guidance of my revered Guru, Dr. Acharya Vijaypal Vidyavaridhi, learning in the true spirit of the Gurukul tradition.

During this time, I deeply studied the foundations of Vedic knowledge, including the Vedas, Shastra, Vyakarana (grammar), Nirukta, Chhanda, Jyotisha, Shad-Darshana, and Samhita.

This spiritual journey helped me understand the deeper meaning of life and self-awareness.This journey was not only institutional but also deeply rooted in my family. My late father, Shri Saptaheshwaranand Shastri, was an authentic scholar of Sanskrit.
My great-grandfather, Shri Satyeshwaranand Shastri, was honored by the King of Garhwal, and his scholarship and saintly nature are still remembered by elders in the region. He guided many scholars of his time and is respectfully remembered as “Bade Shastri Ji.”
My grandfather, Shri Jagdishwaranand Shastri, was also a respected Sanskrit scholar.

Along with this traditional foundation, I pursued modern academic education.
I completed my M.A. from Hansraj College, University of Delhi, and later earned my PhD from Central Sanskrit University, Delhi.

During my academic journey, I also served as a guest faculty, where I taught Vyakarana (grammar) to Acharya-level students.Over the years, I worked as an Acharya in various Gurukuls, guiding students and assisting scholars in their research work.I was also involved in editing spiritual and intellectual publications, contributing to the sharing of authentic knowledge.

You can also explore the power of Gayatri Mantra here.

At the same time, I spent around 12 years teaching in a reputed English medium school, which helped me bridge traditional wisdom with modern education systems. My work extended beyond India as well. I had the opportunity to share Vedic knowledge in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, helping individuals understand their life challenges and find clarity. During these interactions, I also explained the scientific foundation of Vedic rituals and traditions, encouraging understanding rather than blind belief.

This journey has also been deeply enriched by my family.By divine grace, my respected father-in-law, Shri Kamlakant Atreya Ji, is an accomplished Acharya of Vedic Shastras. My wife, Smt. Richa Bahuguna, a graduate of Gurukul Kangri, is a dedicated scholar of Sanskrit.

And at the heart of our lives is our beloved daughter, Ārshī — the gentle light that brings meaning, joy, and continuity to everything we do.

She is not merely a part of our family, but a living expression of our hopes, values, and the traditions we cherish. In her innocence, we see purity;in her curiosity, we see the future;and in her presence, we find a constant reminder of why this journey of learning and sharing must continue.

She inspires us to live with greater awareness, to grow with deeper responsibility, and to pass on this sacred legacy with love and care.Together, as a family, we continue this journey — to live, to learn, and to share knowledge with sincerity, awareness, and a sense of higher purpose.Through my spiritual journey, I realized the importance of Vedic wisdom and inner peace.
